This series is a fusion of photography and graphic design on varying levels. Some images are primarily photographs while others are complete graphic representations. All the subjects are people. I’ve always been drawn to faces, I am fascinated by the endless stories a face can tell. A slightly curved lip, narrowed eyes, raised eyebrow all dramatically change a face’s dialog. I draw what faces say. I am stuck in a never-ending exploration of expression. My art is constantly evolving as I discover new ways to say the same thing, because even as my style changes my subject stays the same. Regardless, I inveriably fall back to trying to decipher the meaning behind our masks.
